Coming through the Pandemic

Here at the Northern Video Company we have faced many challenges during the pandemic, and as the country starts to get going again after all the lockdowns, I thought we’d share what we’ve been up to over the past year.

Like many businesses our order book quickly dried up, as we used to do various event films, all of which haven’t been possible for ourselves and our clients. One thing we did to help our clients and local businesses was that we produced a short guidance amination for free to use on social media and their websites to help raise awareness of the rules at the time.

We worked with Optimal PBS to help them help their clients get all the infomation about the government support packages, grants, HR and bounce bank loans with a series of videos. These were really useful and saved our client lots of time as they could then signpost the enquires to the videos.

We went onto work with several other businesses, helping them with website videos, testimonial videos and much more. We also produced a digital webinar video as part of the Digital Knowledge Exchange programme with the LEP (Leeds City Region).

As many businesses turned to online to build and maintain their businesses, We worked with one Client, Simon Ferris, CEO of Flat Stan First Aid, to produce a series of online training resourse films, which can be used in the education sector across the world.

We like many others had so many zoom calls and team meetings, that we have truly lost count. I can see these staying as part of business life as we move into the hybrid world of some physical and vitrual meetings going forward.

One brave thing we did was to move offices and start a new studio. We teamed up with Danny Thompson, a local commerical and wedding photographer and we opened Albion Street Studios. We shall cover more on this in a future blog.

Here is how we introduced Albion Street Studios and the businesses we share the space with on the Unpretentious Networking spotlight:

We are looking forward to inviting new and old clients to our studio in the coming months, and we are here to help you with your video requirements.
